Sketchel is a bag as a work of art (or design) and a work of art as a bag. Each bags graphic shell are unique while all the bags are identical. The bag is design to present graphic works as a showpiece while functioning as a working satchel or all-purpose canvas bag.
Created by Jeremyville and Megan Mair in 2004 Sketchel is an obvious step beyond platform toys, from which Jeremyville is famed, into general platform design or you might call it platform accessories. It’s such a very simple idea and beautiful in that it is a medium we naturally expect to be a bit flamboyant.
Artists and designers can submit work to the Sketchel team and if chosen will be immortalized in a bag . To date there are 230 unique Sketchel bags as part of version 1. You can view, admire and purchase Sketchel bags here.
